Cannulated Bar manufactured for Orthopaedic
and Veridiam will feature cannulated round bar that is ideally suited for machining Orthopaedic twist drills and cannulated bone screws at the 2006 Medical Design & Manufacturing West Exposition (Booth #3183), January 31 through February 2, 2006. Cannulated bar provides a cost effective alternative to solid round bar for machining lag, pedicle, spinal, and bone screws, as well as intramedullary nails, medical instruments and other trauma devices. Veridiam stocks Carpenter Custom 455® cannulated bar in various O.D. and I.D. sizes available for immediate shipment. Also featured will be examples of medical metal tubular components demonstrating Veridiam's close-tolerance fabrication capabilities. "Orthopaedic drills and bone screws made from Veridiam's Carpenter Custom 455® and BioDur® 108 cannulated bar have lead to the reduction of costly drilling operations of typical products made from solid bar stock," said Neal Nordstrom, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer. Veridiam fabricates cannulated bar in the following materials: BioDur® 108, Carpenter Custom 455®, and CP Titanium. It is available in various O.D. and I.D. size combinations, all with consistent bar lengths between 8' to 12' (2.44 cm to 3.66 cm); and a surface finish (I.D./O.D.) of 32 Ra or finer. Typical O.D. dimensional tolerance is +/- 0.001" (+/-0.025 mm), and I.D. tolerance is +/- 0.002" (+/- 0.050 mm).
